MOST FREQUENTLY ASKED QUESTIONS

WHY SHOULD I HIRE YOU?
That’s a very good question. I have been performing my comedy and magic for about 40 years. I also began deejaying about 15 years ago. I have learned how to entertain audience with words and music. I have not only received awards for my magic shows, but I have been selected by the American Deejay Awards to be made a member of the prestigious Deejay Hall of Fame. I will apply all of my skills and experience to help make your event entertaining and memorable.

HOW DO WE KNOW YOU WILL SHOW UP?
Since I entertain full-time, I can assure you I will be there on time and complete the job we agree on. I always request a signed contract so that we both understand exactly when, where, what and why as well as the fee so there is nothing left up to chance.

WHAT KIND OF EQUIPMENT DO YOU USE?
I use only the top-named professional equipment to insure a smooth-running event.

DO YOU PERFORM OUTSIDE OF SALT LAKE?
Absolutely! I go where the party is!

HOW MUCH DO YOU CHARGE?
Charges vary with the type of event, equipment required, hours, date, and distance. I will be happy to discuss your needs and quote a price.

HOW MUCH OF A DEPOSIT DO YOU REQUIRE?
I ask a 50% deposit with the balance being due before or at the event.

WHAT IS YOUR REFUND POLICY IF I HAVE TO CANCEL?
Unfortunately, the deposit is non-refundable. When we establish a date and we complete our agreement, I turn down any other commitments for that date. If I turn away a person on the date you have reserved it would be almost impossible to get the date back and I am left with an open date. In the remote possibility that I have to cancel, I will either provide another deejay or refund your deposit.

DO YOU ACCEPT CREDIT CARDS?
Yes. We do this through Pay Pal, however checks are fine.

DO YOU TAKE REQUESTS?
Absolutely! Let me know before your event if you have some special song or type of music and I’ll make every effort to play it. If your guests request appropriate tunes during the event, and I have it, I will be more than happy to accommodate them.

DO YOU HAVE A SONG LIST?
Yes, I do, but it’s over 100 pages long! If you give me an idea of the type of music you would prefer, I will format the evening to your liking. CLICK HERE to see the Mobile Beat’s Top 200 most frequently requested songs. Be assured that I have far more songs than are on this list.

DO YOU PLAY MUSIC WITH EXPLICIT LYRICS?
I will not knowingly play any songs with explicit lyrics. If I get a request for a song that has explicit lyrics, I will try to find a radio edit of that song. If I haven’t heard a requested song I won’t play it.

DO YOU HAVE DANCE LIGHTS?
Dance lighting is seldom used at wedding receptions, but corporate and private parties, dances, and Bar and Bat Mitzvahs are always enhanced with some form of dance lighting. I am happy to bring lighting from a single dance light to an array of lights on trussing depending on your budget.

HOW LONG DOES IT TAKE TO SET UP?
Usually about a half-hour, but I will be there at least an hour before the event starts to make sure everything is in order.

WHAT DO YOU WEAR AT THE EVENT?
Tuxedo, suit, sportswear, Western, or casual. Just let me know what you feel would be appropriate.

HOW DO I HIRE YOU?
Simply phone me or send me an email! If the date is available, I will draw up a contract for you to sign. Then return the signed contract to me with the appropriate deposit. We can finalize the details in person, phone, or email. I guarantee it will be easy.
